Korea defeats Iraq in Football Friendly
The South Korean football team beat Iraq 2-1 in its tune-up match for North Korea on Saturday night in Suwon.Korea, which struggled in execution in front of goal in the first half, allowed Iraq to take control of the game on defender Hwang Jae-won's own goal seven minutes into the second half. What an own goal. But three minutes later, Korea rebounded immediately as substitute Kim Chi-woo fired home a Lee Chung-yong cross on the right, which was his first career goal at the international level. In the 70th minute, striker Lee Keun-ho converted a penalty, awarded by midfielder Ki Sung-yueng, to put his team ahead for good. Good job Korea!
