It's origin is not known. On Vallentine's Day, 14th March, girls give presents to their boy friends in Korea. Someone thought that the day was good for sale products. So the reasonable name was made for the 14th March, a month later than Vallentine's Day. And the rule, boys must give something their girl friends in return for presents, was spreaded widely. A lot of Korean have wrong idea that this day is celebrated in other countrys like Valentine's Day. In addition to White Day, Black Day, Yellow Day, Blue Day and other color days are known for 14th day of the following months. They are not as famous as White Day. I think that the most delighted people in those days are merchants.
